Notice on Adjusting Visa for China Application Requirements
1. In accordance with the relevant arrangement, starting from 20 June, 2022, the Embassy and Consulate-Generals of China in Australia will make adjustments on visa application requirements to China. 2. The updated application procedures and material requirements are as follows:
(1).Fill out the visa application form online, print out and sign the form;

(2). Scan the visa application form into a PDF format document and send it to bnecenter@visaforchina.org together with all the other relevant materials for preliminary review.
(3).When you receive further notice from the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC), please come to the CVASC to submit application materials in person and retain ten fingerprints. To enter the visa center, a negative PCR test certificate within 48 hours and face mask are required (mobile phone text messages can be accepted).
--Exemptions for the fingerprint requirements are granted to:
I. Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70; II. Applicants holding a diplomatic passport or eligible for application of diplomatic, service and courtesy visa of China; III. Applicants who have applied for Chinese visas with the same passports and have had fingerprints collected and visa approved within 5 years; IV. Applicants with all the ten fingers physically unable or fingerprints unable to be collected.
--Please be noted that all applicants are requested to go to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers of relevant consular jurisdiction in person for biometric data collection. Applicants shall bear all the legal consequences including denial of entry for forged fingerprints or using other people's fingerprints for visa application.

Please note:
1. The Chinese visa is typically valid for three months. Due to the current surge in demand for visa applications, it is advisable that you apply for a visa one month before your intended date of entry into China but not earlier than three months.
2. The visa application form cannot be changed manually. Please check all the information on the form to ensure that everything is correct. Any mistakes or incomplete application materials will result in the failure to submit the application successfully on the day, a reschedule appointment to submit again is needed.
