Notice for the adjustment of visa application requirements under current situations

From 1st of November 2020, the Chinese visa application service center in Helsinki decides to adjust visa application requirements under current situations:

 

1. Applicants who plan to visit China for the important economic, trade, scientific, technological, culture or sport purpose, please provide the the ‘Invitation Letter (PU/TE)’ or ‘Verification Confirmation of Invitation’ issued by the local Foreign Affairs Office or Commerce Bureau in China.

2. Applicants who plan to work in China, please provide the ‘Notification letter of foreigner's work permit in the people's republic of China’ as well as the the ‘Invitation Letter (PU/TE)’ or ‘Verification Confirmation of Invitation’ issued by the local Foreign Affairs Office or Commerce Bureau in China. If applicant’ s work residence permit expired, all the above documents are needed.

3. Applicants who plan to visit the immediate family members (Inc. parents, spouse, children, grandparents, grandchildren) who is in a critical condition or arrange funeral matters for the immediate family member in China, please provide the photo copies of the notice of critical illness or death certificate issued by the hospital, an official proof of relationships (Inc. birth certificate, marriage certificate, Chinese household registration, certificate letters from the local police bureau in China, notarial certificate of kinship, etc.), an invitation letter from relatives in China, and the copy of both sides of the inviter's Chinese ID card.

4. Applicants for the crew (C) visa. 

5. Visa applications for other visiting purposes which are not mentioned above will not be accepted at the moment.

 

All applicants are required to fill in the online application form. Applicants need to send the above documents and make an appointment by email with the visa center in advance, the email address is helsinkicenter@visaforchina.org. Applicants under 14 years old or over 70 years old is not required to come to visa center in person.

 

If the applicant has a valid visa or residence permit in China, please make a copy and submit it together with other required documents.

 

In order to ensure everyone's health and safety, please cooperate with the epidemic prevention measures of visa center, wear masks and take a body temperature test. Visa center is currently suspending the on-site assistance in filling out application forms.

 

The above adjustment is an interim measure. If the policy is adjusted, Visa Center will upgrade the notice in time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
