Important Notice
In recent years, biometric visas have rapidly gained popularity throughout the world, and more and more countries have successively developed and implemented biometric visas. With reference to international practices and proven experience, according to the requirements of the Chinese Embassy in Romania, starting from June 25th, 2018, the Chinese Visa Application Center in Bucharest (hereinafter referred to as “Visa Application Center”) will collect fingerprints from all Chinese visa applicants. Applicants must attend the Visa Application Center in person to lodge their applications and provide fingerprints and a photo.
Applicants age between 14 to 70 must come to the Visa Application Center in person to submit their applications and provide fingerprints and photo. The collected fingerprints data will be directly submitted by the Visa Application Center to the Chinese Embassy, and the applicant applying for a Chinese visa once again within the next 5 years will not need to be collected the fingerprints again.
The Applicants are obliged to appear in person to provide their own fingerprints. Forgery or impersonation will lead to legal consequences including being denied entrance into China, which shall be borne by the applicants.
